Day on the Green 2009

dotg_logo_highres1May 30, 12- 5ish, Richmond & Skillman, Dallas, TX
Featuring:
Red, Seth Slay, Lyles & Cory, Nicholas Altobelli, Ronnie Fauss, Jesse Robertson, Tyler Hall, Kever & Marce

For three years running on a certain spring day in May, the good people of East Dallas settle onto the lawn at SBC to listen to some local and mostly unknown musicians share their work.  Red stays up most of the night tending to his smoker.  We buy way too much brisket.  Cheryl says, “I told you so”.  Traditions make for enjoyable life rhythms.   And we would like to invite you to ours and make it one of yours.  Bring a lawn chair, find a spot on the lawn, fill up your plate a time or two.  Nothing required beyond that.  Spread the word.

    Of course I’ll be there!!
Specially since Mr. Ronnie THE Fauss will be hedlining! And is that a red line underlining his name bc he’s the best?
It could even be Day on the Gray but if Mr. Fauss is playing, I’d be there… oh, and the brisket sounds good, too!
    Great event last year!
    Looking forward to this’s!

Mrs. A and I are regrettably RSVPing a NO, sorry, can’t make it. It seems that we are flying to Miami and driving to Key West on that day for a week of vacation in the Florida Keys.

Aside #1 – Maybe to bolster attendance this lovely East Texas adventure could be called “Green Day on the Green”?

Aside #2 – Someone then could develop plans that would include the m. c. giving “green” living tips between artists? I’m just saying.
